Seatbelts for Dogs

Dogs should be restrained in the car to prevent them from bumping the driver or jumping out of the car.

Dogs that are nervous in the car may feel safer riding in a crate. If your crate is too big for your car, dog seatbelts are available. They fit like a harness and can be attached to the regular seatbelt.

Dog Furniture

Dog furniture such as beds, couches, and crates give dogs a place to call their own. Well trained house dogs will go to their special place when guests arrive, rather than slobber on the guests and knock them over.

Plato

"The disposition of noble dogs is to be gentle with people they know and the opposite with people they don't know... How, then, can the dog be anything other than a lover of learning since it defines what's its own and what's alien." - Plato

The Samoyed

The Samoyed dog is a working dog, with a long white coat, erect ears, and a tail that curls over his back. This breed is very photogenic. Samoyeds always appear to be smiling. The Samoyed is a 50 to 65 pound dog with a long history of being used for sledding, guarding, and as a companion.

Owners of this dog spend a lot of time and money on grooming. The long white coat needs to be brushed regularly to keep it clean, tangle free, and shiny. This is not a good breed for a fussy housekeeper. Samoyeds shed their long white hair.

The texture of Samoyed fur provides maximum protection from the elements. Some owners save the dog fur from their dog brushes. Samoyed fur can be spun into elegant wool and used to make warm clothing.

The Samoyed has worked and lived closely with humans for centuries and is people-oriented. Ancient nomads used this beautiful breed to herd reindeer. Samoyeds like to pull, run, and chase. This is a breed that loves to work and needs daily exercise.

This herding dog does well competing in Obedience and Agility Trials. They are ideal dogs for active people, who like to spend a lot of time outdoors with their dog.
